Wonju Mayor Kang-su Won visited Dicapac headquarters in November for an on-site meeting with leadership and staff. Dicapac, a global manufacturer that began with waterproof camera cases and now produces and exports marine sports goods including aqua shoes, has gained strong market presence worldwide.
During the visit, the mayor toured production facilities, presented awards to outstanding employees, and shared encouraging words. He also expressed optimism about expanding into new product areas such as golf balls through continued R&D, and pledged ongoing support from the city of Wonju.
Dicapac CEO Young-soo Jeon reaffirmed the company’s pride in contributing to the regional economy.

디카팩은 카메라 방수팩에서 시작해 아쿠아 슈즈 등 해양 스포츠용품을 생산‧수출하는 글로벌 제조기업으로, 특히 접착제를 사용하지 않아 환경친화적인 아쿠아 슈즈가 전 세계 시장에서 강한 경쟁력을 보유하고 있습니다.
방문 중 생산 시설과 제품 제작 과정을 둘러보고 직원들에게 표창을 수여하며 격려의 시간을 가졌습니다. 원 시장은 지속적인 연구‧개발을 통해 골프공 등 새로운 분야로의 확대를 기대한다며 원주시의 적극적인 지원을 약속했습니다.
디카팩 전영수 대표는 “향토기업으로서 자부심을 느끼며 지역 경제에 더욱 기여하겠다”고 말했습니다.
